They perform at special events and half time at basketball and football games.
As we watched the performance this night,
I was bombarded with questions like, "Grandma why aren't you down there?"
And, "You aren't too old are you?" (Ha, ha, very funny everyone!)
After the main performance, they spotlight the lady that is 92.
She does a little number then falls down into the splits!
The REALLY amazing thing is, she gets back up without any help!
(I am in awe of her!)
but it was spectacular to see. This is only half of the school district,
(the other half will perform the following night).
It is made up of 5th grades, but evidently, some fourth grades as well
since A.J. was in it. He incidently, is in the top red stripe in the middle.
The songs and the narration were excellent and really made one think
of all the things our country has gone through and survived.
Some we learned about in history class, others we have lived through
and still others are currently happening.
But all of the situations portrayed are ones we can be thankful for,
each period whether percieved as a good thing or not,
has made our country what is is today,
a country that is strong and we can be proud of.
